We Are Girls SOAR High (mission statement)
We are Girls SOAR high, the GirlsBuild team at SOAR (early college) High school of Lancaster California. Many students within our community, including ourselves, feel the stress and pressure of college and have little to no idea how to approach their career path. Our mission aims to ease the stress of students from the uncertainty of the future through promoting health and wellness as well as college readiness in students by providing resources for college and their future careers. These resources include a community-run career fair, inviting speakers in certain work fields, resume workshops, hosting forums for city and state and national candidates, providing information about ballots and elections, and providing guidance to those uncertain about future careers and majors.
